Innocent and not yet corrupted

Today, I went with a friend of mine to her daughter kindy convocation. Nowadays even kindergarten has their own convocation, with certificate and awards. It was interesting to see all the children singing and dancing, and having the time of their life. They were willing to do anything and wear anything for the sake of doing performances in front of their parents and enjoying doing it. The laughter off the innocents. We used to be that way when we were young, nothing on our mind except friends and having fun, and showing off how cool we were with the simplest of gadgets. Now, we would never do what we did, we would decline to sing or speak in front of audience, we would rather shake our head and stomp our feet than having to wear any costumes that we perceive as stupid. This is just a personal point of view, I think we were more in control of our feelings and ourself confident when we were young, but when we grow up, that confident seem to decrease,  and other are controlling how we feel and how we should act. Hmmmm, well were we were innocent back then and not yet corrupted.
