Theory (Part II)

Last Monday I watched football with my mum, it was the final game between Indonesia and Malaysia. I wasn't feeling well that day, with sore throat and all (all the symptoms for fever), and being hard headed as I am, I don't intend to go to a clinic and see a doctor, I prefer to walk it off. In the middle of the game, I accidentally dozed off on the sofa, until my mum screamed GOAL!!!!!! that really made me jumped. I just smiled looking at my mum how excited she was with the goal, and she kept on repeating;

Mak : "Malaysia will win it for sure., if you don't believe me, Malaysia will win it for sure"
Just to tease her, I said
Naz : "No, Indonesia will win, trust me mak, Indonesia will win"
With a disgruntle look, my mum replied
Mak : "Pack you bag, and move to Indonesia, keep supporting them, not so Malaysian like"

Hehehehehehe...Told you watching football with my mum will never be a boring event.

Theory

Previous night I watched football with my mum, it was Malaysia vs Indonesia for the Sea Games. My mum's knowledge of football is similar to my knowledge of cooking (bear in mind I can't cook), but that did not stop her from being all enthusiastic about the match. When Malaysia managed to get it's first goal, my mum literary jumped up of the sofa, and shouted goal.
For the second half of the match, my mum was the unpaid commentator, commenting the players every move and even the referees. The most interesting comment she made was

Mak : "Dik, if you don't believe me, after this Indonesia will used all the 'bomoh' and all"
I look at my mum and said
Naz : "Mak, that is a bit judgmental, I don't believe that Indonesia will do that"
She paused for a while and look at me and blurted out
Mak : "Ooo, you are supporting Indonesia, why, is your boyfriend an Indonesian guy?"
Naz : "Eh?????? Ke situ pulak mak"

I love my mum, watching t.v, going shopping with her even sitting for tea time, I know it will never be bored. She has all those theories that will make you shake your head and said "Eh???? Ke situ pulak mak"

(That match was the most fun I had in watching football, ever)

Yeah right!!

Some people really have the balls to rate themselves 5 out 5 in the performance appraisal recently, and said that they deserve to get the highest paid bonus. I will agree to that if they actually walk the talk. But who am I to judge how people perceive themselves, all I know is, "What you deserve you will get back".

Just plain useless

People said that being nice is something that is good for our soul but lately I am just a bit tired being nice to most people around the office. Some just grab it as an opportunity out of the kindness offered. Helping a fellow colleague that is currently grounded now seems like a bad idea, in which he keeps hogging me for my car. Yesterday, I allowed him to used it so that he could get treatment for his leg but in the end he also used it for his personal use and left me without a car from 11.00 a.m. till 3.00 p.m. (he went here there and even out for lunch). Maybe my first mistake was to allow him to used my car previously on numerous occasion, but yesterday really made me feel used, because I end up texting him requesting for my car back. He even have the decency to say 15 more minutes and when I asked him where he was, I did not received any reply. I guess I am writing this because never in my history of trying to assist other, I have to ask back for what is borrowed.

Idiotic things like this really make me wonder that being nice at times is just plain useless.

Sucks!

On Sunday, I went out to meet a friend at Midvalley, so I used public transportation, the infamous commuter. Along with me, is a book, crossword puzzles, as well as my trusty MP3. I waited for the commuter for almost one hour, and during that hour people were piling up. I kinda said to myself it will be as crowded as a sardine can and I was right. I entered the woman's coach, in which 2/3 of the passengers were men. They were the one who were sitting down on the seats that were provided. Most of the women were standing. At one of the stop, some men kept pushing themselves into the coach, I can hear some women, trying their to fight for places that were rightfully theirs. I, on the other hand was trying my best to push 3 men from pinning me to the corner, I used the book that I was reading as my defense mechanism. One of the man, actually shouted at me, "Sandar jelah" I looked at him and tapped on the window which clearly indicate woman's coach, and said "Excuse me, encik yang salah masuk". He went quiet. In all that commotion, I even heard a woman screaming, begging for someone to return back her wallet. She had been pick pocketed. When commuter arrived at UKM, I got off, because it was becoming too uncomfortable, men, were pushing themselves in, few women also got off, and prefer to wait for the next train. Even at one of the station before UKM, I saw a KTMB official, just turn a blind eye, and ignoring the situation at hand. Hmm, maybe chivalry is no more.

What the F**k!!!

Previously "akak" attended a meeting, and the matters that were discussed was important to the organization. After the meeting she came back bearing news of the meeting and told me as well as few of my colleagues the flow. She said that the chairman raised a suggestion in requesting me to be a part of the event, and "akak" responded in way for me it was uncalled for. She said "Naz doesn't want to do it anymore, she said last time was horrible, very very horrible". I was dumbfounded that she actually respond in such manner , and what pissed me off is that I never said those words.

Way to go in painting negative impressions of me in front of the heads of other departments. She said she was advocating my right. What  the  f**k!!!!! gave her the right to quoted me on things that I never said and in front of all those people.

Now "akak" is in my top 10 list of people I want to strangle.

Little white lies...

Lying is not something that is uncommon to us. I maybe generalizing it too much, but I think everyone lies one time or another in their life and for numerous reasons as well. " I am looking from  afar at a friend whose lies are consuming her very essence of life. How one little lie resulted her in telling another lie to support the previous lie, and the cycle continue. Other knows that it is a lie because they were unable to identify which of the version is the truth, and it seems as if that all silently consensus in not making the lies public, just kept it within our small circle of friends.

As Dr. House said "It's the basic truth of the human condition that everybody lies. The only variable is about what".

I lie, you lie, everyone lie and that is the truth, the hard part is to lie without getting caught.
