Numb

Yesterday after the monthly meeting, a news was informed to me by a colleague, that a.k.a.k was stepping down from her current post and the unit will be coordinated by someone else. My colleague patted me and said "You must be very happy and relief that now she is no longer in charge". It seemed like people has speculated about the nature of my relationship with a.k.a.k, that I hate her so much. Hate is such a strong word, it is more to not respecting her work ethics thus questioning her credibility as my superior. No matter what she did to me, and no matter what she thrown at me, work is still work. I may not prefer her to be my coordinator, but as long as she is one, I would do as I am told. I replied back to my colleague "Honestly, I don't feel anything, I am numb and I have been numb for quite sometimes".
