I watched Sherlock Holmes: A game shadow, last Sunday. The movie was entertaining however Holmes deduction skills were too much exaggerated. His ability of deducing a person's move and train of thought was like seeing too far into the future. The duel between Moriaty and Holmes were like the ultimate chess game with each other trying to outwit one another, only Moriaty was willing to eliminate all of Holmes important pieces a.k.a. friends and family.
The best friend - I hate - love you connection between Holmes and Watson, were also entertaining throughout the movie how Holmes knows that Watson will always be there for him, and how Watson knows that Holmes will never fail to pull him in no matter how hard he try to resist.
Guy Ritchie even provide Holmes with a nickname "Shirley" just to show how normal Holmes was. The movie was far from what Sir Arthur Conan Doyle depicted of Holmes and Watson adventures as well as characteristic were, the book was the reason why I fall in love with them in the first place.
Mark my word there will be a sequel and I hope it would be a disappointment as most movies sequels have proven. Like Holmes always said, "Elementary my dear Watson, elementary... "
