Last Saturday, I went to meet my two friends, just for lunch and to catch up on each other. I went by commuter, just so that I can do a bit of reading. I read Taxi by Khaled El Khamissi, an Egyptian writer. It was about Egypt social and political standing from taxi drivers point of views. There were 58 short stories of his encounter with taxi drivers from different background and story to tell. A trip of 11/2 half proven to be productive, at least the book and also my mp3 managed to seclude me from a crowded commuter fill of people.
Meeting my friends was the highlight of the day, talking, chatting, laughing over plates of sushi. The topics varied from all level of issues, some I was familiar with, others just made me smiled and engrossed in watching two friends exchanging points of views of things they are passionate and well verse off. I had fun that Saturday. I finished the book during my trip back to Seremban, and I continued reading the book that was given to me as gift by a friend who still makes my heart flutters, and I enjoyed so much the company of a new found friend whom I am fortunate enough to get to know through the wonderful world of Internet. Such a rare friend indeed.
Thank you guys...lets do it again some other day.
