Confession of the musically blind

I love music. I love listening to any genres of music, pop, rock, ballad, alternative, jazz, blues, nasyeed and even classical. When I am listening to them not even once it cross my mind to dissect each and every notes, and even the lyric itself.  If you talked to me about singers or composers not even much I can tell, except from my own understanding and my point of view. I am not an aficionado of any types of music.

I value any musical piece that can intensify my feeling, it can be modern or even classical. I listen to Beethoven and Vivaldi; I even listen to Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga. I am envious of people who can talk about the music they are passionate about, tho being around them would make me feel like a fish out of water, some are very considerate when it comes to explaining it, others will look at me as I am less educated and not at par to be within that circle of people. Music doesn't discriminate why should people who listen to them do?

Well, by stating this does it make me a person who is confused of what is to be considered as art?
I am just musically blind but I am not ignorant.

i dont think mozart cares if you can't tell an e flat to an a minor. it'd make him happy all the same so long you enjoy his music. i think music is about recognizing greatness - and like paintings or any work of arts - it takes a special sense to see the beauty in them.

I listen to Vivaldi today when I was doing my work, and unknowingly I closed my eyes and I can feel my feeling intensified. It was awesome. I know he won't care, but sometimes I just don't feel like I fit in, I appreciate music but my way. (",). Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I'm a music addict and like you, I listen to any and all genre. Music is something visceral to me; if it resonates with me, then all is good. Who cares about dissecting the notes? So long as it is ear candy, just enjoy and wallow in auditory bliss, baby.
